This Atmos II with frame serial number 7070 and mechanism serial number 6231 is one of the very first Atmos clocks made under the Jaeger LeCoultre brand.

It is simply stunning. We have never seen a very early Atmos II is such lovely original condition.

Fully serviced back to original mechanical specifications. The 24k Gilt case is 100% original as it left the Jaeger LeCoultre factory c87 years ago.

The craftsmanship of these original early Atmos clocks is breathtaking when presented in this condition.

The completed refurbishment, to exacting original manufacturer specifications, included:

  • full strip down and inspection. This clock passed exceptionally well having clear signs of previous expert maintenance and care.

  • All parts were then cleaned, rinsed and dried using specialist Ultrasonic and Rotational machines in L&R specialist solutions.

  • Bellows Tested to work within specification. 

  • the mainspring was refurbished and oiled using expensive specialist Moebius 9020 Synta-Visco-Lube.

  • All Jewels were microscope inspected for cracks and hand cleaned.

  • the Suspension Balance Tube, Pallet Fork, and Hands were then checked for Poise and Balanced.

  • the Clock was then reassembled and tested to ensure it is In Beat and working to exacting manufacturer specification.

  • the Clock was then electronically regulated using specialist Timing equipment to ensure accurate timekeeping

CONDITON:

This clock is excellent original condition. There are only very minor age related marks. This 24k Gold is complete and bright. This is exceptional for a clock of this period and nothing detracts from its overall appeal. The glass panels are all complete, in excellent condition. The movement has been fully serviced and is running perfectly and keeping exceptionally good time. Although this clock does not require winding and has been regulated it is still a mechanical timekeeper and the hands will need to be reset to the correct time occasionally.
